Live Scan Fingerprinting
We offer Live Scan fingerprinting services to the general public. Live Scan digitally captures an individual's fingerprints so that they may be transmitted electronically to the State of California Department of Justice and/or the FBI. These fingerprints are then cross-referenced with the criminal database to check the applicant's criminal history. Employers, certification or licensing agencies, and adoption agencies are just some examples of those who require Live Scan Fingerprinting.
What to Bring with you;
In order to complete your Live Scan, you will need to bring with you the “Live Scan Request Form” issued to you by the requesting agency and a valid form of government issued picture identification such as Driver License, Identification Card, Military Identification Card or a Passport.
Acceptable Primary forms of Photo Identification;
A. California Driver License
B. Department of Motor Vehicles “Identification Card”
C. Out of State Driver License
However, in the absence of primary form of identification, we may accept one or more of the following as Secondary forms of Identification, but only with two of the supplemental documents noted on this page:
A. State Issued Certificate of Birth
B. U.S. Active Duty, Retiree, Reservist Military Identification Card (000-10-2)
C. U.S. Passport
D. Federal Government Personal Identification Verification Card (PIV)
E. Department of Defense Common Access Card
F. U.S. Tribal of Bureau of Indian Affairs Identification Card
G. Social security Card
H. Court Order for Name Change, Gender Change, Adoption and Divorce Document
I. Marriage Certificate (Government Issued Certificate)
K. U.S. Government Issued Consular Report of Birth Abroad
L. Foreign Passport with Appropriate Immigration Document(s)
M. Certificate of Citizenship (N560)
N. Certificate of Naturalizations (N550)
O. INS I-551 Resident Alien Card Issued Since 1997
P. INS I-688 Temporary Resident Identification Card
Q. INS I-688B, I-766 Employment Authorization Card
Please Note:
When validating the authenticity of second documents and forms, the data and information need to be supported by at least two of the following Supplemental Documents:
A. Jurisdictional Voter Registration Card
B. Vehicle Registration Card
C. Paycheck Stub with Name & Address
E. Jurisdictional Public Assistance Card
F. Spouse/Parent Affidavit
G. Cancelled Check or Bank statement
When supplemental documentation does not support the validation of the original documents. We cannot accept the form of identification as valid and there for will not fingerprint the applicant.
